a new project

A week or two ago, I found myself with a new routine: writing a short story each day that was short enough to fit into a gchat status update. Not only was this fast and easy (because who hasn't sat staring as an empty status box, wishing they had something interesting to put in it?), but it put me one step closer to an idea I'd been kicking around of trying to make fiction more viral and internet-friendly in the way that music, video and art already are, and that only the pithiest of blogs are able to duplicate.

Anyway, after I'd done enough of these stories (which can be up to about 85 words before Gchat cuts them off) to decide I could probably make a habit of it, I decided to start a new blog to show them off.

Enter my new Tumblr, gchatus.

I already have enough to promise you I can keep this up for at least a few weeks, which is like a lifetime for a lot of smaller life forms. If that's not enough incentive for you to bookmark the site and make checking it a part of your life, then you must hate all lower life forms.
